FAQs for Coordinators

How can I update the settings in the Master Record?

You can't update the Master Record yourself. If you require any changes to your configuration, update the Functional Questionnaire and submit it to SITA support using the contact details in the Functional Questionnaire.

Do I need to activate a station before I can create a file in that station?
Yes. See Manage WorldTracer Stations.
How do I find the contact details of a WorldTracer Coordinator in another company?
Find their details in their custom pages. See Display WorldTracer Coordinator Details. See Display WorldTracer Members to look up the company code.
How do I update the details of my company's WorldTracer Coordinator?
Go to Administration > Airline/Handler > Custom Pages, and update the Coordinator details in the first page of the Public pages.
Can I update the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) for more than one station?
Yes. See Update Multiple Stations.
How can I see which airlines I handle at a station?
See Display Handling Agreements
What is the difference between the Basic Property Irregularity Report, and the Handled Airline Property Irregularity Report?
The Basic PIR is for your company and the airlines you handle, and the Handled PIR is for non-participant, non-tracing, and codeshare airlines. See Station Field Descriptions (Coordinator).
Can I change the IATA Reason for Loss wording for my airline?
Yes. See Manage Reason for Loss Codes.
Why can't I deactivate a station?
If you try to deactivate a station that is handled by another company, you must set the handler code to your own company code at the same time. See Deactivate a Station.
Why can't I add a dummy airline or handler code as a handler at a new station that I am creating, even though that code is already defined for my existing stations?
You can only enter the code of a valid WorldTracer customer as a handler at a new station. Legacy configurations still allow a dummy code to be used, but this is not allowed for new stations. If you believe you need a dummy airline code for tagless bags, see the tips for tagless bags in Create an On-Hand Bag File (Unclaimed Bags).
One of my stations is handled by a ground handler, but now I want to handle it myself. What do I need to do?
Go to Administration > Station > Basic Options for the station, remove the handler code from the New Handler field and click Update.
Which elements are always mandatory in WorldTracer files?
Mandatory elements are indicated in the table WorldTracer Field & Element Names.
How do I receive reports automatically?
Receiving reports automatically is part of the initial configuration of WorldTracer, and is requested using the Functional Questionnaire. The reports that are sent automatically are displayed in the Master Record. See Master Record — 8. Reports.
Why is WorldTracer unavailable?
